Getting to grips with lining!

It has been some time since I worked on my dress, but slowly getting back into it while at the same time catering to toddler Forage extremely busy social life.

So where was I? I had cut all the required fabric, lining, and interfacing then sewed the front and the back bodice...... Since then I sewed together the front and bodice from the shoulder sections.

Getting to grips with the lining for the bodice;

Working with the lining I found at times a little tricky but eventually I got the feel of it.

The bodice lining was firstly sewn together- the same method as the bodice! Also the required interfacing was applied around the neck line of the lining and ironed into place.

The next step was to line both bodice and lining with right side facing each other (this is where I noticed some slight mistakes in my cutting attempts as the lining seemed a little short in parts- but not a problem once the seam was sewn).

A seam was then sewn around the neck line and arm holes.

Finally turned back with the right side out and ironed.

Toddler Forage nap time is once again over; next I should be getting a start on the skirt :)
