Crafters Working Together!

Crafters Working Together

This is a wonderful Idea......

Have you ever spotted a product/item crafted by a fellow maker/artist and thought wow that would really compliment one of my creations and combined would sell beautifully as a set!

Well, I was approached by a fantastic crafter/maker/artist Ellen Roche the brains behind Upcycle, Recycle, Make Do & Mend to collaborate an item from my collection and one from hers.

And this is the final product!

Ellen Roche skilfully hand crocheted this beautiful cowl!

This cowl is crocheted in wonderful Ice yarn mixed with a double knit to make a super warm scarf in a gorgeous bright colour.

‘I was going to finish it with a crocheted flower but then decided to make it quite unique and use Rebecca’s leather flowers.’

My handcrafted leather brooch is made from remnants/scrap leather, it is carefully crafted, shaped, and then heated treated to add the curling effect, to create a touch of glam a pearl bead is added to the centre.

‘There must be lots of opportunities for crafters to work together and I am certainly open to suggestions...’  Ellen Roche

  1. I'm a papercutter and will be doing a collaboration with a felt maker, pastel artist and photographer later this year, think it will be more of an installation! But it is a challenge we are looking forward to. I've never collaborated before so it will be a totally new experience, fingers crossed it works!! x Clare at Papercuttergirl

    1. It will be Fab! The 3 other crafters Im working with I have never met we connected over social networks and it seems to be going well. It great to see the final product.... Most of the time the final product is more wonderful then it just being the individual item.
Good Luck with it - would love to see your final product :)
